Lolita Lorenzo, conceived by artist and designer Carol Muthiga, merges vibrant patterns from Kenyan textile markets with influences from Chanel and Vogue. Inspired by numerology, geometry, and modern fashion, her collages feature intergalactic Afrofuturistic time-traveling warrior women, modern heroines, and Black cultural icons. Named after Muthiga’s daughters, Lolita Lorenzo creates a radically empowering ambiance through a blend of textiles, with the moiré of printed matter visible at puzzle size.
